Yggdrasil, the tree of life according to the Nordic mythology, is the starting point of this architectural refurbishment of a single-family house in Torrevieja.

The three floors of this house are referred to as the three worlds the tree of life connects. The tree is a piece of furniture that passes through slabs and walls while it grows connecting each floor and use of the house.

This central element is the main character. On the other hand, the other walls and furniture are translucid. As a result, the Norwegian family who inhabits the house lives in a living and unique space connected to the cultural traditions of its ancestors in a foreign country.

Yggdrasil o árbol de la vida, según la mitología nórdica, es el punto de partida de este proyecto de reforma de una vivienda unifamiliar en Torrevieja.

Las tres plantas hacen referencia a los tres mundos que conecta el árbol, el cual aparece de manera simbólica a través de un mueble que atraviesa forjados y paredes para ramificarse y conectar todas las plantas y usos.

Este elemento central gana todo el protagonismo mientras el resto de cerramientos adquieren un acabado casi traslúcido. Con esta idea, la familia Noruega que habita este hogar, consigue un espacio vividero y único en el que se conecta con las tradiciones culturales de sus antepasados en un país extranjero.
